Muirs Opticians targets the younger generation, encouraging them to wear the glasses for necessity and as a stylish fashion accessory. Our client's vision is a minimalistic take on traditional opticians with elements of luxury.
Our client is a young, experienced optician, opening his own independent practice. The vision for the practice was to create a space that was minimalistic but had elements of fun and modern design.
Our client wanted to utilise as much space in the store to display his own brand of glasses and other branded designs. Our design challenge was to create a space with every wall utilised for display cabinets whilst looking minimalistic, fun and modern. The arched display cases and seating area are soft interventions that are not too imposing or disruptive to the space. The arched mirrors attached to the ceiling and elevated from the floor are focal to the space, creating a sense of fun. This reinterpretation of minimalism gives the space a young, fun and modern look.
